Abstract

Objective: To conduct a bibliometric study on scientific productivity in reading comprehension strategies applied in Ibero-America.

Methodology: A bibliometric study was conducted on scientific productivity in reading comprehension in Ibero-America from 2018 to 2022. The Scielo database was used.

Results: A total of 14 studies were identified in the last 5 years in Latin America. Of these, 11 were original, 2 were reviews and 1 study did not specify the type of research. Of the 14 studies, only 2 were published in English and 12 in Spanish. It is also observed that Spain is the country with 4 publications, followed by Colombia and Peru with 3 publications.

Conclusion: This study concludes that there is low productivity in reading comprehension in Latin America, identifying 144 studies, and the countries that have published the most were Spain, Colombia and Peru. This evidence suggests a higher productivity in relation to reading comprehension.
